Have you ever paused to consider why God has given you certain gifts, resources, or opportunities?

Scripture reminds us:
"To whom much is given, much will be required." – Luke 12:48

Every blessing we receive—whether it’s wisdom, influence, finances, or spiritual gifts—comes with a responsibility. God entrusts us with these things to serve others, build His kingdom, and glorify Him.

The Parable of the Talents: A Lesson in Stewardship

Jesus illustrated this truth in the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30). In this story, a master gives three of his servants different amounts of money (or “talents”) before going on a journey.

Two of the servants invest and multiply what they were given, while the third hides his talent out of fear and does nothing with it.

When the master returns, he rewards the two who used what they had wisely, saying:

"Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!" (Matthew 25:21)

But to the one who did nothing, he says:

"You wicked, lazy servant!" (Matthew 25:26)

This parable is a reminder that God expects us to use what He has given us, not hide it away in fear or neglect. Whether it’s our time, talents, or resources, He calls us to invest them for His glory.

A Testimony: Walking in Obedience

This week, I had the incredible opportunity to share this very message with a group of believers, along with my journey of being a faith-based author. And they loved it!!!!!!!!!!

They were deeply moved—some teared up, they laughed, they learned, and by the end, the attendees said: "YOU ARE A GREAT PRESENTER! GOD HAS GIVEN YOU A WONDERFUL GIFT."

Their encouragement was overwhelming, and I was beyond grateful for the experience.

This opportunity was truly God-orchestrated. When Joan first heard my story, she said, "You need to present to us in the next few weeks." That was a confirmation. Then, the following week, Paul said, "You should share with us," after hearing about my journey—another confirmation. And when Susan added, "I’d be happy for you to share with us," I knew this was the third confirmation. God is so good!

Some of them even got copies of my book to support my author calling! IT WAS INCREDIBLE! Even though I had already donated two copies to the library, they still wanted to get more for their collection.

That kind of support is truly humbling and a reminder of how God moves through community.

“I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:35

The presentation focused on being obedient to the calling the Lord has placed on our lives—staying rooted in His Word and not allowing others to discourage us from what He wants to do through us.

We must not let fear, distractions, or comfort hold us back from fulfilling our purpose in Christ. It was truly the right conversation at the right time, and I’m so grateful to God for the opportunity to share and shine His light.

This experience reminded me how vital it is to step forward in faith when God opens a door—because He will always equip us for what He calls us to do.

A Heart Check: How Are We Stewarding Our Blessings?

It’s easy to hold back—whether because of fear, distractions, or even comfort. But the questions are:

How am I using my time and talents for God’s purpose?
Is there someone I can encourage or help today?
Am I trusting God with what He’s entrusted to me?

God blesses us for purpose and when we step into that purpose, we experience the joy of living fully for Him.

A Call to Faithful Stewardship

Let’s commit today to be faithful with what God has placed in our hands. Whether it’s big or small, seen or unseen, He is watching how we use it and as we steward well, He will entrust us with even more.

Because with great blessing comes great responsibility—and an even greater opportunity to shine His light.
